Many types of kanzashi were created during the Edo period(1603-1868), when kanzashi was really popular, but it is said that this Bachi(plectrum for Shamisen)-shaped kanzashi was created in the Meiji period (1868-1912). She started to create kanzashi and kamon (family crest) jewelry since 2005 in Kyoto. Today, she creates made-to-order products for customers and silver ornaments for geiko and maiko, while selling them in the personal exhibitions or special events at department stores.
